Affinity Designer 2.6 update: The Pencil Tool finally feels natural! 🎉
Check out my short iPad review on YouTube
The latest Affinity Designer 2.6.0 update is a game-changer for digital illustrators! The Pencil Tool now offers better control, no forced smoothing, and new auto-close options, making it easier than ever to create organic, hand-drawn vector art. I’d love to know what you think. You can leave a comment here or head to YouTube to start a conversation ^^
For me personally, the previous “improvements” were such a pain… I am so so happy some things got fixed ufff, that’s a relief!

That was a great tutorial! My favorite improvement in the iPad app was the double click to switch to the node tool because I use the pen more than the pencil….but maybe this change will inspire me to use the pencil more?
Wait the removed the forced smoothing?! 🤯 That did drive me nuts….
