I’m sharing a few of my most-used stars vector assets, so that you can add some extra sparkle and magic to your designs in just a few clicks.
If you’ve taken my ASSETS course, you will recall that vector assets are an essential part of any design project, but they can be time-consuming and difficult to create. In this case, the stars are very easy to create either by hand, or with the rectangle tool or super quickly with the pent tool. For me personally, because they’re so easy to create, on the verge of boring, I have them saved up in my Assets Studio as vector objects. I find this feature extremely useful for surface pattern design in particular.
A while back, I created another introduction to assets article on my official website (“Creating Hand-Drawn Vector Assets in Affinity Designer“). I gave there a few suggestions for assets categories you could start with, in case your library is pretty small right now. And yes, stars were on the list :)
If you’re interested in seeing me draw botanical vector assets by hand, check out my last YouTube Q&A session:
Please note, I have created all my assets in Affinity V2 and time will not allow me to create V1 resources anymore (iicckkk). Thank you for your understanding!
